The best things to do at Teesside Park for a day out

Looking for fun things to do near Stockton on Tees? Teesside Park is the place to enjoy inspired days out with your family and friends.

From big movies at Showcase, bowling and amusement games at Hollywood Bowl, outdoor play areas, incredible family dining, welcoming kids’ stores and free parking plus a brand new bus route, you can enjoy a full day full of activities and fun (see our opening times here).

1. See big new movies at Showcase Cinema de Lux Teesside

2023 is going to be a huge year for family films on the big screen with the arrival of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 (5th May), The Little Mermaid (26th May) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2 June) plus Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny (30 June) and Barbie (21 July).

Showcase offers lots of deals on movies including discounted £7.50 tickets (from 7pm Sunday and all-day Monday and Tuesday), £7.90 tickets for kids and family bookings for £31. There are Totally Tots mini movies for £3.45 with lowered volume and lighting plus Baby Cinema for carers and parents in need of a break at £6.

If you buy any products from Compare the Market, you can also enjoy Meerkat Movies for a whole year with 2-for-1 tickets every Tuesday and Wednesday. Plus, there are discounts for seniors and students; get booking now is our advice.

2. Go bowling at Hollywood Bowl

With 24 lanes, a bar, an arcade and cafe, our Hollywood Bowl gives hours of fun. From birthday parties to team events, American pool and slot machines and air hockey, you can win prizes and go head to head. Students can get a 10% discount or make the most of unlimited bowling for just £11 on Sunday evenings. You can also get three games for £10 and enjoy mac’n’cheese, slushies and more.

3. The best places to eat with family menus and offers for kids

Teesside Park is home to some of the most children-friendly places to eat on the planet. Discover brilliant discounted children’s menus all year round at Asda Cafe Living (where kids can eat for £1 and children under 18 months can get a free Ella’s pouch with any purchase), Pizza Express, Nando’s and M&S Cafe.

Don’t miss the brilliant Timmies Minis menu at Tim Hortons with beef burgers, chicken tenders and cheese melts while our cafes, shops and restaurants (including Greggs, Fridays and Hotel Chocolat) also offer student discounts.

We’re home to some of the best fashion, beauty, food and gifting stores in Teesside making Click & Collect and everyday shopping easy. There are also plenty of purse-friendly clothes and shoes stores for kids including Clarks, schuh, Mamas & Papas, Next and TK Maxx if you need to pick things up while you’re here with the family.

Visit our kid-friendly stores: Poundland has lots of ideas for crafting and art. Or, have a fun time picking bedtime reading at The Works.

5. Easy parking and buses to get to Teesside Park

It’s super easy for families to get here. Did you know we now have a regular bus service running from 7am to 9.30pm from Middlesbrough or Stockton thanks to the Arriva X12? Get tickets and the timetable here and take the fuss out of your journey.

There are also 1,500 free car parking spaces available with plenty of dedicated disabled and parent-and-child parking. We have 18 POD Point electric vehicle charging points located next to JD Sports.

We also provide bike racks to keep cycles secure while you shop. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Thornaby which is a 25-minute walk from the centre, and we have two bus stops on site located close to Currys and Morrisons with services running regularly. We have baby-changing facilities with changing units, and there is a family room and baby-feeding spaces available in our management suite.
