Evenings are the ideal time to find hidden gems at TK Maxx and USC or update this season’s wardrobe (and lingerie) at New Look, Next, River Island or Victoria’s Secret.

Take some time out to find the perfect pair of new sneakers, sandals or boots at schuh and Clarks or give your cosmetic bag some love at Boots, Marks & Spencer and Superdrug (also the perfect time to get your lashes and brows done). With Pandora and Hotel Chocolat, it’s the best time to hang out with friends or take some me-shopping-time.

3. See the latest movies at Showcase Cinema De Lux

The latest blockbuster releases, arthouse films, cult movie nights, National Theatre live screenings, ballet, opera and more – whatever you’re in the mood for Showcase Cinema De Lux has it covered. With advance tickets for £7.50 and discounted prices from Sunday evening to all day Monday and Tuesday, we recommend dinner-and-a-movie nights or big evenings out with friends. Book here.

4. Go bowling at Hollywood Bowl
