Brilliant things to do at Teesside Park this summer
Days out ideas, kids’ entertainment, menus and more
Planning days out this summer? From bowling and mini golf to a bouncing and climbing adventure park via kids’ menus, shopping and toys, the biggest movie blockbusters, special seasonal offers and discounts, here’s how to get inspired at Teesside Park.
Become a Ninja Warrior
Climbing, jumping, balancing, exploring, swinging, the incredible Ninja Warrior Adventure Park has nine different courses featuring the spider wall, the warped wall and giant inflatable course inspired by the TV show.
Perfect for kids’ parties (from £20 per child) and family days out (get a one-hour pass for all for £42; you’ll also need to invest in their gloves and socks), always check for incredible deals for carers and Blue Light card holders and seasonal specials.
There’s a delicious cafe to refuel after all the excitement (kids can eat for free during the holidays) with pizza, hot dogs and kids’ boxes for £5.75. Book here.
See the biggest movies
This summer, it’s all about the blockbusters with the arrival of live-action Lilo & Stitch and Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning (23 May), live-action How To Train Your Dragon (13 June), Jurassic World: Rebirth (2 July), Superman (11 July), The Fantastic Four: First Step (25 July), The Bad Guys 2 (1 August) and Freakier Friday (8 August). Phew!
Showcase Cinema de Lux is the place to see them all with special Monday prices (tickets from £4.99 with Insider membership), baby cinema and Silver Screenings from £5.99, £25 family ticket offers and more (don’t forget, 2-for-1 tickets with Meerkat Movies). Book your seats here.
Discover the best kids’ menus
- Head to wagamama for special kids’ menus for just £7.70 – choose from one of their mains made mini (yaki soba, ramen, chicken katsu) with drinks and desserts of chocolate brownie, tropical fruit lolly or vanilla ice-cream.
- Asda Cafe is also the place to find brilliant kids’ offers with penne pasta with meatballs and a vegan hidden veg pasta meal alongside fish fingers, chicken nuggets and the all-day breakfast. All come with a free piece of fruit such as an apple, pear or banana. Asda Cafes also offer a pick-and-mix selection that includes a sandwich, drink and piece of fruit with special deals for over 60s too. Keep an eye out for holiday offers!
- Pizza Express is unmissable with dough balls, pizza, pasta or salad, a dessert, a bambinoccino and a Piccolo Activity Pack for £8.
- TGI Fridays is the place to go for classic American beef burgers, hotdogs, simple pasta tubes, quesadillas or crispy chicken tenders with smaller portions for little ones and added veg sticks. They can create their own sundaes and enjoy shakes and fizzy coolers plus if you’re a Stripes Rewards Member – kids eat free. Book here.
Go shopping for kids’ (and pets) bits and pieces
Teesside Park is home to some of the best stores to find toys, new summer wardrobes, holiday packing and entertainment. Head to Asda Living, Primark, Mamas & Papas and TK Maxx. If you’ve got pets, swing by Pets At Home with the kids and choose everything from cosy beds to fish food.
Go bowling together

Hollywood Bowl is the place to spend some family time with 29 lanes of high-tech bowling, 12 brand-new holes of putterly brilliant mini golf, a bar and diner with nachos, shakes, chicken nuggets, mini hot dogs and burgers and an action-packed amusement arcade. Keep an eye on their special offers (kids can eat, drink and bowl for £8.50pp all-day all weekdays and Fridays until 6pm) with special family days out too.
Go for a sweet treat
All that shopping and exploring can leave you feeling wiped out so take the kids for a sugar-boost at Bubble CiTea for fruit teas with rainbow bubbles, lychee jellies and more. Or head to Hotel Chocolat for fun kids’ finds including tasty Tiddly Pots, jaw-dropping hot chocolates and Smile Milk Chocolate lollies. Unleash their creative imaginations with plenty of pens, paints, paper, glue and DIY projects from Hobbycraft, Poundland and The Works. Hobbycraft runs a host of workshops for all ages including knitting, acrylic painting and clay creatures (see what’s available here) or get them cooking brownies, biscuits and cupcakes with finds from ProCook and TK Maxx.
Grab some food on the go
Make it a quick and easy meal for everyone with some of the best food-on-the-go favourites. We’ve got Burger King, Five Guys, Greggs (perfect for bacon sandwiches before 11am), KFC, Marks & Spencer (a main, a snack and drink for just £4), McDonalds and Nando’s (sign up to the app to easily order at your table and build up loyalty points with Nandino meals of a main, two sides, a drink or dessert).
Keep tweens happy…
