The best things to do at Teesside Park for a day out
Everything you need in one place for an incredible family day out
From big movies at Showcase, brilliant shopping at the newly arrived Primark, bowling and amusement games at Hollywood Bowl, two welcoming outdoor play areas, incredible family dining including the newly arrived wagamama, welcoming kids’ stores and free parking, you can enjoy a family day full of activities and fun at Teesside Park.
1. Glow up your wardrobe at the new Primark store
Upgrade your looks with Primark’s huge selection of women’s, men’s and children’s collections, lingerie, beauty and homewares across our brand new unmissable store.
With this season’s denim, swimwear and accessories, brand new Kombucha Glow Moisturiser and cruelty-free beauty, tropical bed linen and tablescaping finds and Stacey Solomon x Primark Kids, it’s your one-stop store for an instant update. Plus, there’s always fun finds for the kids – from cuddly toys to gorgeous stationery.
2. Play mini golf and go bowling at Hollywood Bowl
With 24 lanes, a bar, an arcade and cafe, our Hollywood Bowl gives hours of fun plus they’ve given it a bit of a glow up and now have 12-hole mini golf too.
From birthday parties to team events, American pool and slot machines and air hockey, you can win prizes and go head to head. There’s a special kids’ offer which includes a meal and round of bowling for £8 (all day Monday to Friday until 6pm).
Students can get a 10% discount or make the most of unlimited bowling for just £10 on Sunday evenings. You can also get three games for £10 and enjoy mac’n’cheese, slushies and more. Find out more here.
3. Discover our latest opening Wagamama
wagamama has a menu featuring desserts including yuzu basque cheesecake or momo meringue; a cocktail of strawberry shiso mojito and mains including a coconut kare with chicken, hoki or butternut squash; koyo bowls of pulled shiitake or thai beef salad; beef brisket and kimchee gyoza and kokopanko chicken with sriracha mayo.
4. The best places to eat with family menus and offers for kids
Teesside Park is home to some of the most children-friendly places to eat on the planet with crowd pleasers including Bubble CiTea, McDonalds, KFC and Burger King alongside Pizza Express and Pizza Hut. Discover brilliant discounted children’s menus all year round.
Asda Cafe means kids can eat for £1 with penne pasta, fish fingers and an all-day breakfast and children under 18 months can get a free Ella’s pouch with any purchase while Marks & Spencer often has offers for kids.
Nando’s famous Nandinos meals have chicken strips, wings with side orders of corn on the cob and fries with either a juice or bottomless frozen yoghurt for £6.25. Join the TGI Fridays Stripes scheme and kids eat free all day every day with tasty menus of Chicken Burger, Fridays Hotdog or Crispy Chicken Tenders and fizzy fruit coolers.
Don’t miss the brilliant Timmies Minis menu at Tim Hortons with beef burgers, chicken tenders and cheese melts while our cafes, shops and restaurants (including Greggs, Fridays and Hotel Chocolat) also offer student discounts.

5. Discover smart shopping with the kids at Teesside Park
We’re home to some of the best fashion, beauty, food and gifting stores in Teesside making Click & Collect and everyday shopping easy. There are also plenty of purse-friendly clothes alongside the new Primark and shoe stores for kids including Clarks, Charles Clinkard, Mamas & Papas, B&M, Lush, New Look, Next and TK Maxx if you need to pick things up while you’re here with the family.
Visit our kid-friendly stores: Poundland and Hobbycraft have lots of ideas for crafting and art. Or, have a fun time picking bedtime reading at The Works and WH Smith.

6. See big new movies at Showcase Cinema de Lux Teesside
Autumn 2024 is full of amazing new releases including Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice (6 Sept) and Joker: Folie à deux (4 Oct).
Showcase offers lots of deals on movies including discounted £7.50 tickets (from 7pm Sunday and all-day Monday and Tuesday). There are Totally Tots mini movies for £3.45 with lowered volume and lighting plus Baby Cinema for carers and parents in need of a break at £6.
If you buy any products from Compare the Market, you can also enjoy Meerkat Movies for a whole year with 2-for-1 tickets every Tuesday and Wednesday. Plus, there are discounts for seniors and students; get booking now is our advice.
7. Easy parking and buses to get to Teesside Park
It’s super easy for families to get here. Did you know we now have a regular bus service running from 7am to 9.30pm from Middlesbrough or Stockton thanks to the Arriva X12? Get tickets and the timetable here and take the fuss out of your journey.
There are also 1,500 car parking spaces available with plenty of dedicated disabled and parent-and-child parking. We have 18 POD Point electric vehicle charging points located next to JD Sports.
We also provide bike racks to keep cycles secure while you shop. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Thornaby which is a 25-minute walk from the centre, and we have two bus stops on site located close to Currys and Morrisons with services running regularly. 8. Family-friendly essentials at Teesside Park
We have baby-changing facilities with changing units, and there is a family room and baby-feeding spaces available in our management suite.
Finally, if you need to let your little ones work off some energy, we have two children’s play areas outside Marks & Spencer. Happy exploring!
